|Current location:||Emerald Castle, Green City|
*It had been weeks since Rayne sent her puppet to her home. She used the body of a different vampire, and through magic, made it look just like her. Even from miles away, she was able to control it from where she sat in the great hall of the "Emerald Castle" located in the Green City. She made it walk and talk just like herself. Through the eyes of the puppet, she can see and interact with others. No one knew the difference... except for Nabi.
The vampire queen chuckled softly in wry amusement as Rook snuffed out her magical hold over the puppet. It was useless now and competently forgotten as Rayne knew to expect Nabi to come here. She was ready to fight for the death, or even welcome death itself. Holding onto her family's bloodline and right to the "Emerald Throne" had become the most important thing in her life since she got here.
It had been past a month since she arrived, she had been a different minded vampire then. Willing to negotiate, willing to mend a broken friendship between the steward and her twin daughters. No, it was not meant to be. They looked down at her, cursed at her for living her life apart from her birth place, ignoring her birthright. Their greed made them vile and hateful towards Rayne. They had an army of one thousand ready to slaughter her.
She killed them all. One thousand men and women of her own kind who she had to put down. All blindly serving the one who thought they were nothing but tools for battle. After the last man fell to her, something in Rayne snapped. What she had been running from all this time, the reason why she left the throne of the Green City hit her all at once. Taking a long look at all the bodies around her brought back the curse her family had been put upon centuries ago. The steward had tested her and now the results would bring about her end. Rayne murdered the steward's before her eyes and with one sweep of one of the fallen vampire soldier's swords, she took off the steward's head. Right where she sat perched on the throne she treasured so much.
Rayne watched the blood flow from the decapitated body of the steward. The body sat perfectly erect in an elegant pose, her hands still folded in her lap. Only when the blood stopped flowing did Rayne approach the body sitting on the throne. Instead of removing it, she settled on the right arm of the throne, her knees arched as her ankles pressed agianst the other arm. A few days had passed until Il Rok arrived, and since then remained at her side. A loyal son, guarding her while she rested for the last fight coming to her.*
